Dil Raju slams people for buying YouTube views for trailers, songs: 'Look at how Sankranthiki Vasthunam became an all-time record'
Producer Dil Raju made a strong statement against the growing trend of purchasing fake YouTube views for songs and trailers. While attending the trailer launch event of Nithiin’s upcoming movie 'Thammudu', Dil Raju stated that he has never entertained such practices.

“Whatever views you see on YouTube for this film (Thammudu) are original. I’ve told my PR team and everyone working for me that the numbers must reflect real views. I do not want to fake numbers anymore,” he stated.
He explained that he wants to track genuine audience interest in his films by avoiding the purchase of fake YouTube views . He said that artificially inflated numbers don’t reflect real reach and that it always makes it hard to judge a film’s true impact. He is committed to taking the first step towards authenticity.
Raju positioned this move as a necessary course correction for the film industry. He further clarified that he does not intend to initiate any controversy with his statement but hopes that other producers will correct themselves for the sake of greater authenticity. “If the film is worth it, people will watch it anyway. Look at how Sankranthiki Vasthunam became an all-time record. Court also became a super hit. 2025 has proved that all we need is good content,” he explained.
