Patna. These days, the scorching heat in South Bihar, including Patna, the capital of Bihar, is disturbing people. The temperature is continuously crossing 40 degrees Celsius, which has increased the possibility of adverse effects on the health of young children and students. In view of this situation, the Patna district administration has issued an order to change the operation of schools and coaching institutes.

New schedule and instructions

The District Magistrate of Patna (DM) Dr. Chandrashekhar Tyagarajan issued an order late on Thursday and said that now all schools up to class 8 will not study after 11 am. At the same time, Anganwadi centers will have to be closed at 10 am.

An important decision has also been taken regarding coaching institutes. Now no coaching institute will be allowed to operate from 11 am to 4:30 pm. Coaching operators will be able to run classes only before 11 am and only after 4:30 pm. This order will be effective from 13 June to 16 June 2025 and it will be applicable to government and private, educational institutions.

Children’s health paramount

DM Tyagarajan in his order clarified that this decision has been taken keeping in mind the safety and health of children. In the afternoon, due to strong sunlight and excessive heat, children are at risk of health problems like heat stroke or heat stroke. Therefore, arrangements have been made to complete studies in the relatively cold time in the morning.

Summer holiday and private school

Although summer vacation is currently underway in government schools, many private schools and coaching institutes are still operating. In such a situation, this initiative of the administration is being considered as a precautionary measure taken in time.
