SSC CGL 2025 Exam: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has prepared to make a new and important change in the recruitment process under the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2025. The commission is now going to implement a new scheme for the first time to fill the vacant posts, which has been named "Sliding Scheme".

What is a Sliding Scheme?

Till now, according to the policies of SSC, no waiting list has been made for the CGL exam. But in recent recruitments, it has been seen that after the verification of documents, some posts remain vacant. To fill these vacancies, the commission is now going to include the "Sliding Scheme" in the selection process.

Under this scheme, if a candidate is not selected in the final stage but is around the cutoff, then he can be given a chance at the vacant posts. Its objective is that all the posts that have been released in the advertisement should be filled.

SSC has sent a proposal to the central government to implement this scheme. According to media reports, it will be implemented from CGL 2025 as soon as it is approved.

SSC CGL 2025: Recruitment for 14,582 posts

SSC has announced recruitment for a total of 14,582 posts for CGL 2025. The online application process for this has started.

Last date for application: 4 July 2025, till 11 pm

Last date for fee payment: 5 July 2025, till 11 pm

Last year i.e. in CGL 2024, recruitment was announced for 17,727 posts.

Which posts will be recruited?

Through this examination, recruitment will be done for Group 'B' and Group 'C' posts in various ministries and departments of the Central Government. These include major posts.

Sub-Inspector in CBI and NIA

Postal Assistant and Sorting Assistant

Executive Assistant etc.
