New Zealand opener Finn Allen has struck a thunderous milestone in cricket. The 26-year-old batter entered the record books on Friday by scoring the fastest-ever-century in the history of Major League Cricket (MLC). His explosive 151 off just 51 balls for San Francisco Unicorns against Washington Freedom at Oakland Coliseum is now a benchmark for future players. His knock was filled with power and domination — 19 sixes and 5 fours — making it a display of pure aggression.

This wasn't just another big score; it broke numerous T20 records in a single match. His 19 maximums surpassed Chris Gayle’s and Sahil Chauhan’s previous record of 18 in a T20 innings. His 100 came in just 34 balls, beating Nicholas Pooran’s 40-ball record for fastest MLC ton.

His 150 in 49 balls is now the fastest 150 in T20 cricket, overtaking Gayle’s 50-ball 150 during his 175* in the IPL. His ability to clear the fence repeatedly made the bowlers look powerless. His scoring spree started in the Powerplay itself — by the 6th over, Allen had already struck 5 sixes and crossed 40.

Allen Shows His Destructive Ability Again

This record-breaking knock highlights Allen’s ability to destroy attacks under pressure. His 19th maximum — a huge pull over deep midwicket — made sure his name went into the record books for most sixes in a T20 innings. His innings ended in the 18th over when he fell attempting a 20th, dismissed by Mitchell Owen and caught by Glenn Phillips.

His effort powered San Francisco Unicorns to a massive total of 269 for 5 — highest-ever men’s T20 score in USA — and made the match a one-sided affair. Washington Freedom fell well short, scoring just 146 in reply.

's explosive form underscores his growing reputation in world cricket. His total T20 runs now exceeded 4,100, scored at a remarkable 173.27 strike rate — highest for any batter with more than 1,000 T20 runs. His remarkable performance adds to his reputation as a powerful opener who can destroy attacks and set a match’s tone in a matter of overs.
