Heavy rain is expected to begin in the southern Konkan districts—Sindhudurg, Ratnagiri, Raigad—before advancing northward to Mumbai and Thane. These western coastal areas are currently humid, with Santacruz and Colaba observatories registering around 77–81 % humidity.
