Roshni Songhare, a 27-year-old flight attendant hailing from Dombivli, Maharashtra, tragically lost her life in the recent plane crash in Ahmedabad. Her maternal uncle, Praveen Sukhdare, expressed profound grief during a conversation, reminiscing about her life and aspirations. He revealed that Roshni grew up in their household, starting her journey towards her dreams from a modest 10-by-10 room. 'Becoming an air hostess was her lifelong dream,' he shared.
Praveen fondly recalled Roshni's desire to achieve something unique and to soar high, which she accomplished by becoming a flight attendant. She began her career with SpiceJet, where she worked for two years before moving on to Air India. He also mentioned that her father works as a technician.
Just two days prior to the incident, Roshni visited her village, spending time with her grandparents, uncle, and aunt, and even paying respects to the family deity.
After returning home, she was scheduled for a flight to London. Although her marriage plans were not yet in place, Praveen recalled their recent conversation about marriage, where Roshni expressed, 'I will marry the one I like, uncle.'
Praveen noted that Roshni's mother has not been informed of the tragedy due to her health issues, as she suffers from low blood pressure, making it difficult to share the news.
Roshni's younger brother is currently at sea, while her elder brother, father, and other relatives have traveled to Ahmedabad. The community in Dombivli has shown immense support during this difficult time.
The family has yet to receive any official communication from Air India, but some of Roshni's colleagues have come to offer their support in Ahmedabad.
