Ahmedabad Air India Plane Crash: A deep battle is going on between grief and hope in a quiet house in Manipur. The phone rings repeatedly, but no one picks up the phone. This is the number of 20-year-old Nganthoy Sharma, an Air India flight attendant. 

Air India flight AI-171 met with an accident a few minutes after taking off from Ahmedabad International Airport on Thursday (June 12, 2025). Nganthoi Sharma was a flight attendant in this. There were a total of 242 people on board this plane, out of which only one person survived.

 

 

According to news agency PTI, for the Sharma family living in Manipur's Thaubal district, every call brings a new hope and at the same time deepens the fear. Their phone rang several times, the internet is also on. The signals are being received, which means there is something. This is what K. Khejita said.

What did a relative of the Nganthoy family say?

K. Khenjita is a relative of the Nganthoy family. Nganthoy's family last spoke to him a few minutes before the plane took off. Nganthoy Sharma had sent a message that the flight was about to take off and so they might not be able to talk for some time. Who knew that these would be his last words.

Nganthoy Sharma's elder sister is a teacher. 

He said that we stopped calling her after 6 pm. We were afraid that the battery might run out. He also said that as long as the ringtone was heard, we thought that she was somewhere and was probably waiting. As long as the phone kept ringing, the family would think that their Nganthoy is probably still alive. Nangthoy's youngest sister has become unconscious, the eldest sister is a teacher in a private school and she is trying to save the family from the rumors spreading on social media.
