Importance of UPI after digitization

Earlier, when a person transferred money to another account, it was necessary to go to the bank or give a check. But due to digitization in India, most of the transactions have now become online. After the introduction of Unified Payment Interface (UPI) in 2016, it has become very easy to send and transaction. Now people send money through UPI. However, sometimes people send money to the wrong number. If you too have done this, then there is nothing to worry about. You can get your money back. Let’s know how.

Return of money

How long can the money come back?

If you have sent money to the wrong UPI number, then your money is more likely to get back, especially when you and the UPI number on which the money has been sent is the accounts of the same bank. But if your account and the account in which the money has gone, they may take longer to get the money back. If you have accidentally sent money to the wrong UPI number, you can request that person to return the money. For this, you can share information about transactions. However, in this situation the chances of getting back the money are less.

Contact customer care

Contact UPI App Customer Care

You can lodge your complaint by contacting the customer care of the UPI app that you have done. For this, you have to provide information about transactions.

After sending money to the wrong UPI number, you can also talk to your bank’s customer aid officer. They can file your complaint. Apart from this, you should also file a complaint of wrong UPI transaction in the National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI). You can also make your complaint by calling 1800-120-1740.
