On 12 July 2025, the 787-8 Dreamliner crashed as soon as it took off from Ahmedabad to London. 241 people died in this accident. Only one person survived this plane crash. The 787-8 Dreamliner is manufactured by aircraft manufacturer Boeing. Boeing is used by airlines around the world. Similarly, it also uses Airbus as a flight. You must have seen both of them at the airport or flying, but it can be a little difficult to identify the difference between Airbus and Boeing, especially if you are not fond of aircraft. Here we are telling you about some easy ways, by which you can easily identify Airbus and Boeing planes.

1. Size of the nose
The nose of Boeing and Airbus planes differs a lot so that you can differentiate them.

Boeing: Its nose is pointed and sharp, which looks like an arrow.

Airbus: Its nose is round and semi-circular, which looks slightly flat and soft.

2. Cockpit windows

Boeing: The lower part of the side window of its cockpit is slanted i.e. V-shaped. The corner of the last window is slightly pointed and angular.
Airbus: Its windows are more square and the upper corner of its last window appears slightly cut.

3. Size of engines
Boeing: The lower part of their engine is flat, while the upper part is round. Also, Boeing's engines are installed on the front side of the wing.
Airbus: Its engines are completely round, they are almost like a perfect circle. They are installed just below the wing so that they can be easily noticed when viewed from the rear of the aircraft.

4. Tail design
Boeing: Their tail usually has a slight slope, where it meets the body of the aircraft.
Airbus: Its tail is attached directly to the body of the aircraft, without any slope. It is a fast and direct connection.

5. Landing gear retraction
Boeing: Its rear gear retracts into the aircraft, but there is no cover. Due to this, its gear is slightly visible.
Airbus: Their rear gear aircraft is completely closed in a compartment, due to which the gear is not visible after takeoff.
