A guest spilled the beans on host Matt Tebbutt's antics during the show.
BBC's Saturday Kitchen was back on air on Saturday morning (August 17) with Matt Tebbutt steering the ship. The kitchen welcomed chefs Paul Ainsworth, Sam Evans, and Shauna Guinn, alongside pop sensation Sophie Ellis-Bextor.
However, the atmosphere turned a tad uncomfortable when Matt instructed a guest to "park it there" following their revelation about the presenter's rather laid-back attitude.
As Paul Ainsworth whipped up a storm for Matt and the guests, Matt enquired: "Is this on the menu in your restaurant Caffe Rojano?".
Paul confirmed: "Yes we put this on the menu," prompting Matt to praise: "It's a great restaurant.", reports the Mirror.
Wine connoisseur Olly then joined the conversation: "I love it, me and my family we've gone there several times. Really informal setting, delicious food."
Matt concurred: "Super relaxed." Olly teased: "Well in your case Matthew very relaxed. A little too relaxed perhaps..," leading to an uneasy silence in the studio.
Matt swiftly said: "Let's park that there!" But chef Paul wasn't ready to drop the subject. He teased: "Shall we go there? Shall we go there?!"
Matt responded: "Let's not," despite Paul's insistence: "I think the viewers need to know that you fell asleep in Caffe Rojano!" A sheepish Matt chuckled with his guests as he confessed: "It had been a long day."
This incident followed Matt revealing the ins and outs of live TV work - including the most challenging aspects of his role.
Despite confessing his enjoyment of the weekly challenge on the BBC programme, Matt has acknowledged that the team encounters numerous obstacles in their efforts to ensure the long-standing show broadcasts seamlessly.
The 51 year old chef, who has been hosting the weekend morning food programme since 2017 after taking over from James Martin, confessed that the crew are "like family" and frequently face a multitude of challenges. This necessitates extensive rehearsals, even though it may appear they "wing it" on occasion.
