Famous Bollywood actress Tabu has been making headlines not only for her films and acting but also for her personal life. Tabu often comes in the headlines for her single life. While the actresses of her time got married and settled down and are now enjoying a happy life with their husbands and children, Tabu is still unmarried at the age of 53.

Tabu has had affairs with actors like Nagarjuna and Sanjay Kapoor and this is not hidden from anyone. The actress was engaged to famous producer Sajid Nadiadwala, but the marriage did not happen and she is still unmarried. She has talked about marriage many times and once she even said that if she gets married, she wishes that Gulzar does her kanyadaan.

Tabu wants Gulzar to do her kanyadaan

Tabu shares a close relationship with Hindi cinema's legendary writer and lyricist Gulzar. She is very close to Gulzar and respects him a lot. This can be gauged from the fact that once she had expressed her wish that whenever she gets married, her kanyadaan should be done by Gulzar Sahab.

No relation with father

Tabu's full name is Tabassum Fatima Hashmi. She was born in a Muslim family in Hyderabad. Her parents got divorced when she was just three years old. In such a situation, her mother raised both her daughters alone. Tabu has revealed in many of her interviews that she does not have any memories of her father. The actress had said, "What is a father, what is his love, I am unaware of these things. I have no relation with him." For this reason, Tabu does not even use her father's surname.

Debuted with Telugu cinema
Tabu is counted among the best actresses of Bollywood, but she started her acting career with the Telugu film 'Coolie No. 1' which was released in 1991.
