The Minimalists had a modest start at the Indian box office, opening with ₹55 lakh on its first day. To stay in contention, the film will need strong weekend growth. Based on current advance booking trends, it’s projected to collect around ₹1 crore each on Saturday and Sunday, which would bring its weekend total to approximately ₹2.5 crore, a Pinkvilla report stated.
If it maintains steady traction with its niche audience, the film is expected to close its India run with a net total of around ₹7 crore. This would translate to a theatrical share of nearly ₹3.5 crore (roughly USD 400K) for the producers.
