India will play England from June 24 to July 23 in 5 ODIs and a practice match, which acts as preparation before the Under-19 World Cup. India's squad for the series features Suryavanshi, who has another emerging star, CSK's Ayush Mhatre, leading it as the former's opening partner.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi's incredible rise in Cricket

Suryavanshi caught the attention of the cricket fraternity with his performances in the IPL 2025. In particular, his knock against the Gujarat Titans was highly exceptional, where he smashed a 100 in just 35 balls, the second fastest in the history of the league. For a 14-year-old to do it against Prasidh Krishna, Mohammed Siraj, Ishant Sharma, and Rashid Khan was incredible.

"I received over 500 missed calls, but I had kept my phone switched off. A lot of people have approached me over my century, but I don’t like that. I try to stay away. I told you I had my phone off for four days. I like to be around my family and a few close friends. That’s it," said Suryavanshi after his record-breaking knock.

The star player was just 12 years old when he made his debut in the Ranji Trophy. At the age of 14, he became the youngest player in IPL's history. At the same age, he is the youngest batter to smash a T20 hundred, and has several other impressive records to his name. It helped him earn a spot in the Under-19 squad.
