Earlier, there were rumours coming that are set to tour India for a white-ball series in January 2026. Now, the (Board of Control for Cricket in India) has confirmed the series between both nations as they have announced a full schedule for the white-ball series India and New Zealand ahead of the 2026 T20 World Cup.

The defending champions India will host the 10th edition of the tournament along with Sri Lanka. Before that, the white-ball series between India and New Zealand will begin on January 11, 2026.

New Zealand will tour India for three ODIs and five T20I matches in cities like Baroda, Rajkot, Indore, Nagpur, Raipur, Guwahati, Vizag and Trivandrum. The series will take place from January 11 to January 18. After that, both the teams will lock horns in the five-match T20I series from January 21 to January 31 in 2026. This series will help both the nations to prepare for the T20 World Cup which is likely to be played in February-March in 2026.

India's domestic season to begin from August 28, 2025

Along with the New Zealand series, the BCCI has also announced the schedule for the upcoming domestic season in India. The season will begin with the Duleep Trophy on August 28th, 2025 and will end with the Senior Women's Inter-Zonal Multi-Day Trophy on April 3rd, 2026.
