Days after the crash in Ahmedabad, a Jaipur-based woman has called out Air India Express for leaving the passengers stuck inside a plane for over five hours without air conditioning and no crew response about the situation.

The passenger named Aarzoo Sethi boarded Flight IX196 from Jaipur to Dubai on Saturday and expected a normal flight. What followed, according to Sethi, was a bad experience which left passengers, including the children, swearing and helpless inside stationary aircraft.

In a viral video posted on Instagram, the woman alleged that the passengers were made to sit inside the aircraft without air conditioning, updates, or any response from the crew.

In the video, the passengers could be seen visibly exhausted, wiping sweat and fanning themselves. They could also be seen repeatedly pressing the assistance button, without any sign of help.

“This is my 3-year-old son, drenched in sweat,” she said in the video, adding, “We have been pressing the crew button for ages and no one has responded. This is the level of irresponsibility we are dealing with.”

Sethi also questioned the silence of the airline. “Even if it’s a technical fault, where is the basic communication? Where is the accountability?” she asked in the video.

The Instagram user captioned her video post, “We were stranded inside an @airindiax flight for 5+ hours, flight number IX196, with no AC, no communication, and zero assistance from the crew.” She also called it a “serious safety lapse” and urged the airline to take responsibility.
