Who is Safira Chatwal?

Safira Chatwal is a 19-year-old who studies at Marlborough College in England and is interested in international relations and contemporary geopolitical topics. Safira’s attention was drawn to these subjects while she was living in India. She is also the founder of Diplomacy 2030.

It is worth noting that when Safira was born, eunuchs (transgender persons) had come to her house to celebrate. However, Safira’s family was not entirely comfortable with the practice. As she grew older, Priya and Vikram’s daughter helped her family understand the cultural and mythological significance of this tradition in Hinduism.

Moved by the discrimination faced by the transgender community in India, Safira decided to take an initiative. She launched a project called R.I.G.H.T. (Real Inclusion in Gender Health Treatment), which is an active operation for gender-inclusive health centres across Delhi-NCR.
