, who's best known for her co-hosting role on with , and her solo hosting role on , has a famous family too. Her dad Barry, a journalist, was originally married to her mum, former Sunday Express editor Eve, but the couple divorced when Claudia was just three years old, and Barry went on to wed children's author Cindy Black.
Together, they gave Claudia a half-sibling who ended up becoming a famous actress - and even achieving "royal" status. Sophie Winkleman isn't instantly recognisable as a relative of Claudia's, so viewers might not have realised when they saw her in Peep Show and Two and a Half Men alongside Ashton Kutcher, that she has a sister who features on BBC primetime TV. Meanwhile, Sophie has received "lady" credentials after marrying Lord Frederick Windsor, the son of Prince Michael of Kent, back in 2019.
Lady Windsor even rubbed noses with Prince Harry when the pair mutually attended the wedding of Lady Gabriella Windsor six years ago.
It's not known whether Claudia was present as well, but Express can also reveal that Sophie has a close relationship with King Charles - and that he even helped her through horror injuries.
Lady Sophie had been involved in a head-on car collision in 2017, but she gratefully told magazine afterwards that the King, then a Prince, had been her rock.
"[He] sensed correctly that everything would be chaos at home, so he asked his cook, instead of taking care of him, to take care of us," she explained.
"Our lunches and dinners were cooked at Clarence House then delivered for weeks on end while I was in hospital and then still disabled at home."
Meanwhile, Claudia has said she's treated like a princess herself by her film producer husband Kris Thykier, something which she credits to his "feminist" Danish upbringing.
He's listed on the credits of numerous blockbuster films and TV shows including Kick-Ass, The Woman in Gold and Sky Atlantic's Riviera.
The pair have three kids together - Jake, Matilda and Arthur - and Claudia made the passionate admission on Radio 4's Women's Hour that she'd almost sacrificed her time on Strictly for her son.
She recalled a tearful phone-call to the show boss, saying she refused to continue if the filming dates clashed with his move to university. Claudia told him: "If the first show is September 13, I'm out and you'll have to go with somebody else."
