New Delhi: Actor and film producer Unni Mukundan, who is known for his movies like Marco, 12th Man, Yashoda, and Get-Set Babyhas recently made headlines for a statement he made on his upcoming movie.

The actor was highly adored for his role as Mark D Peter Jr in the most anticipated movie, Marcoand the fans were desperately waiting for its sequel. But to everyone’s surprise, the actor won’t be doing the movie Marco 2 anymore. Yes, you read that right, the actor has confirmed this news himself.

Unni Mukundan Announces Marco 2 Cancellation

The Malayalam actor recently posted a workout video of himself showing his body transformation, and one of the fans commented on the post, expressing his desire for Marco‘s 2, and unexpectedly, the actor replied to the comment, saying he won’t be doing the movie anymore.

The comment of the user was,” Marco 2 kab ayegi, to which the actor replied, ”bro, apologies but I have dropped plans to continue the Marco series. Too much negativity around the project. I’ll try my best to bring something bigger and better than Marco. Thanks for all the love and positivity. Cheers”.

This statement of Unni has disappointed the fans. But the reply also said that he is up to something big, which gives the sense that he will come up with something big sooner or later.

Marco Was Directed and Written by Haneef Adeni, and Stars Unni Mukundan, Siddadique, Yukti Thareja, Kabir Duhan Singh, and Abhimanyu Shammi Shamami Thilakan. Anson Paul, Ishaan Shoukath, Jagadish, and Sudev Nair. The film also features performances by Arjun Nandakumar, Durva Thaker, and Riyaz Khan in supporting roles. The movie hit the theaters on December 20, 2024.
