Disco Dancer predates other blockbusters like Hum Aapke Hain Kaun (1994) and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, both of which also crossed the 100 crore mark later. Mithun’s film was the first Indian movie to smash this record worldwide, making him the true pioneer of the 100 crore club.
