D.D. Deepesh and Naman Pushpak have been included in India’s men’s under-19 team for the tour of England from 24 June to 23.
The BCCI said in a statement on Monday, “During the ongoing high-performance camp at the BCCI Center of Excellence, Aditya had a stress fracture at the bottom of the back, while Khilan had a stress reaction in his right leg.” India’s men’s under-19 team will be led by Ayush Mhatre, who performed brilliantly for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL 2025. The tour includes a 50-over practice match at Lofborough University, followed by a five-match Youth One-Day Series at Hov, Northampton and Worster. Two multi-day matches against England Under-19 will be played in Bekenham and Chelmsford respectively.
Mhatre’s fellow wicketkeeper-batsman Abhigyan Kundu from Mumbai has been appointed as the vice-captain of the team. The team also includes explosive left -handed batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who scored 252 runs in 35 balls for Rajasthan Royals (RR) in IPL 2025 with a stormy century and a half -century. Suryavanshi and Mhatre were also part of India’s runner-up team in the Under-19 Asia Cup in UAE last year.
