Hyderabad, June 16: The famous Niloufer Cafe near Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad was temporarily shut down by police on Monday (June 16) morning due to security concerns. The customers were forced out of the cafe by the police and the shutter was closed by Hyderabad Police. The video of the customers vacating the premises of the cafe has circulated on social media and the video is going viral.

The move came as Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) appeared before the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for questioning. His appearance was linked to an investigation into alleged financial irregularities in the Formula E racing event held in Hyderabad.

The case involves suspected misuse of around ₹54 crore and authorities claim that the deal did not have proper cabinet approval. Senior IAS officer Arvind Kumar has also been questioned in this matter.

As a precaution, police cleared out customers from the cafe and closed it for the time being. Some people were reportedly detained from the area, though official details are still unclear.

The sudden closure surprised many, as Niloufer Cafe is a popular spot for both locals and visitors. More information is expected as the investigation continues.
