IIT Bombay once again became the first choice of top JEE rankers, 9 out of the top 10 students chose it. Excellent education, industry connections and the atmosphere of Mumbai take it ahead of other IITs.

Every year after the results of JEE Advanced, it becomes a matter of much discussion as to which IIT the top rankers of the country turn to. This time again IIT Bombay has proved that it remains the first choice of students. 9 out of the top 10 students and 73 out of the top 100 students have chosen IIT Bombay.

First choice of top rankers: IIT-B

Mumbai-based IIT Bombay has once again shown that its craze among students is much more than other IITs. This year too, 9 out of top 10 students chose it. Even among the top 500 rankers, 179 students chose IIT-B. IIT Delhi was at the second spot, which was chosen by 109 top rankers, while IIT Madras was preferred by 69 students.

Why is IIT Bombay special?

IIT Bombay's computer science branch is in great demand. A topper student said, "The computer science department here is counted among the best departments in the world. After studying from here, the career prospects are very high." Along with this, being located in a city like Mumbai, connection with the industry and networking opportunities make it even more special.

Efforts of IIT Delhi and IIT Madras

IIT Delhi increased its publicity for the first time this time. Under the name 'Experience IIT-D', they organized special events in Mumbai and Bangalore, where top JEE qualifiers were invited and shown campus tours, faculty interactions and extra-curricular activities. On the other hand, IIT Madras invited the top 200 students and their parents to its campus and even bore their expenses so that they could see the institute's features closely.

Still IIT Bombay wins

But the top rankers again chose IIT-B while taking the final decision. Vishal Mishra, an alumnus of IIT, says, "The name of IIT Bombay has itself become a brand. People think that if the maximum number of rankers are choosing it, then there must be something special about it."
