Created by Jed Mercurio, Line of Duty stars a number of big names, including Martin Compston, Vicky McClure, Stephen Graham, Adrian Dunbar, Neil Morrissey and Anna Maxwell-Martin.

Speaking to , Martin said: "We're always talking about possibilities and schedules and whatnot. Everybody's got stuff going on at the minute, so I think anything, unfortunately, would be a way off."

Martin went on to reveal he's grateful that fans are still so invested in the future of Line of Duty, and gave a rare insight into what the cast's off-screen relationships are like.

The star went on to add: "You know, the day people stop asking about the show will be a sad day, so I'm delighted that people are still excited about it.
