India Population Census 2027: The central government has issued an official notification regarding the census. This process of census will be completed by 1 March 2027, while the date of completion of the census in the hilly areas of Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal and Uttarakhand will be 1 October 2026. The last date to complete the census for snow-covered areas of the Union Territory of Ladakh and Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand will be 1 October 2026. The last phase of the census will start from February 2027 and will be completed by 01 March 2027 (reference date).

With the release of the official notification, now different agencies will start their work. This process includes training employees, collecting data by going to people’s homes, making format, appointing employees. The last phase of the census will be completed by 1 March 2027. Census takes place every ten years

Census is done once every ten years in India.
