Cops rushed to 's son Elijah Blue Allman's home after a reported overdose - and what they found inside has sparked a fresh wave of concern. Cops reportedly discovered drugs inside Elijah Blue Allman's home after the troubled son of music icon Cher was following an overdose. Law enforcement sources say deputies rushed to Elijah's rented house in Landers, California on Saturday afternoon (June 14) after reports of a man acting erratically.

When they arrived, paramedics were already on the scene treating Elijah - and that's when deputies reportedly discovered drugs inside the residence. He was rushed to a hospital in nearby Joshua Tree, and the investigation is ongoing. A source told that Elijah remains in hospital and his current condition is unclear but he's reportedly lucky to be alive.

Elijah, 48, has been open about his substance abuse issues in the past. In a 2014 interview with , he admitted to starting drugs at just 11 years old.

He confessed: "I did have some close calls and some moments of really feeling at the edge of mortality ... I always kind of kept it a little bit safe but you never can do that."

The troubled musician, son of Cher and the late Gregg Allman, is best known for fronting the industrial rock band Deadsy. The band built a cult following in the early 2000s and collaborated with acts like Korn and Limp Bizkit. Elijah also released solo music under the alias P. Exeter Blue.

In recent years, his struggles have played out in public. He was photographed looking dishevelled and unwell outside Hollywood's Chateau Marmont, sparking concern among fans.

In 2023, the legendary entertainer, 79, said in court documents that Elijah, is "substantially unable to manage his own financial resources due to severe mental health and substance abuse issues." Though the legal bid made headlines, the conservatorship was eventually resolved privately.

A source close to Cher told : "Like any mother, Cher's only concern right now is for her son's well-being, and she's doing everything she can to get him the help he needs."

She claimed if he got his hands on his money, "Such funds will be immediately spent on drugs, leaving Elijah with no assets to provide for himself and putting his life at risk."

Elijah's estranged wife, singer Marieangela King, has also been vocal about supporting him, despite their separation. In divorce filings, she cited irreconcilable differences but has maintained that Elijah deserves compassion as he battles his demons.

No further details have been released about the type of drugs found at the scene. Authorities say the investigation remains active.

Musician Allman is Cher's son with her second husband, Gregg Allman, who Cher was married to from 1975 to 1979. He's the half-brother of Cher's transgender son, Chaz Bono, 56, that she had with her first husband, Sonny Bono.
