Mannara Chopra ’s father, Advocate Raman Rai Handa , sadly passed away in Mumbai on 16 June 2025. The actress was seen rushing out of the airport along with her sister Mitali Handa as they arrived back in Mumbai. She appeared heartbroken while walking out of the terminal, clearly affected by the loss.
Emotional tribute on Instagram
Mannara earlier took to her Instagram story to share the heartbreaking news. In her message, she described her father as the "pillar of strength for our family". She wrote, "With profound grief and sorrow, we inform the sad demise of our loving father who left us for his heavenly abode on 16/06/2025."
Funeral details
The last rites of late Raman Rai Handa are scheduled to take place on 18 June at 1 pm in Crematorium Ground, Amboli, Andheri West, Mumbai.
Mannara’s work journey
Mannara began her acting career with her Bollywood debut in the film Zid. Though the film didn’t do well at the box office, she soon made a mark in the South Indian film industry. Over the years, she has acted in several regional films including Thikka, Rogue, and Sita. She gained wider fame through Salman Khan’s reality show Bigg Boss 17. While she didn’t win the title, she became a household name and finished as the second runner-up.
Later, she joined the cast of Laughter Chefs – Unlimited Entertainment Season 2, alongside well-known names like Elvish Yadav, Rubina Dilaik, Bharti Singh, Krushna Abhishek, Vicky Jain, Ankita Lokhande, and Abhishek Kumar.
Most recently, Mannara appeared in the 2024 Telugu film Tiragabadara Saami, where she starred alongside Raj Tarun and Malvi Malhotra. She is now looking forward to her next release—a Punjabi film titled Ohi Chann Ohi Raatan.
