Mumbai: Several passengers sustained injuries after a Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) bus collided with a pickup truck on Tuesday morning, in Mumbai’s Goregaon area. The accident occurred on Aarey Colony Road during peak traffic hours, resulting in a major traffic snarl.

According to local police, the collision caused minor injuries to multiple bus passengers. Emergency services were immediately alerted and first responders rushed to the scene to assist the injured and restore order on the busy stretch.

Officials from the Aarey Police Station are reportedly investigating the incident to determine the cause of the crash. Preliminary reports suggest that the impact of the collision disrupted traffic flow majorly in the surrounding area, compounding delays for daily commuters.

While no serious injuries have been reported so far, authorities are monitoring the medical condition of those involved. Traffic police have also been deployed to manage the congestion and clear the roadway.

This is breaking news. More details are awaited.
