Air India has cancelled its scheduled flight from Delhi to Paris following a hydraulic system leak on Tuesday, further adding to a day of travel disruptions that saw another international flight — Ahmedabad to London Gatwick (AI 159) — also being abruptly cancelled, citing operational issues.
As per reports, the Air India flight on the Delhi-Paris sector was grounded due to hydraulic leak, a critical system that controls various flight operations including landing gear and brakes.
Earlier in the day, Air India cancelled flight AI 159 from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick, originally scheduled to depart at 1:10 PM. It was briefly rescheduled to 3:00 PM, but was officially cancelled by 1:45 PM. The aircraft assigned for this route was a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.
While no technical reason was given for the London-bound flight’s cancellation, airport sources have indicated passengers will be rerouted via alternate flights. An irate traveller told ANI, “I was travelling to London… but it has been cancelled. The crew did not provide any reason or details about a refund.”
