How many marks are required for admission in government colleges?

If you want to get an MBBS seat under All India Quota, then candidates of General and EWS category will have to score around 620 to 680 or more marks. OBC students may need 590 to 610 marks and SC-ST candidates may need 520 to 550 marks. At the same time, in the state quota, seats can be obtained for 570 to 620 marks for the general category. OBC is expected to get a seat with 550 to 590 marks and SC-ST with 420 to 490 marks.

What things affect the cutoff?

NEET cutoff is different every year because it depends on many things. First of all, the level of the exam - if the paper is difficult, then the cutoff can go down. The second reason is the number of seats - if the MBBS/BDS seats increase, then more students can get a chance. Apart from this, the performance of the students and the coaching level also play an important role.

According to reports, this time the most successful candidates have come from Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Rajasthan. In UP, around 3.3 lakh students appeared for the exam and around 1.7 lakh passed. Out of 2.4 lakh students from Maharashtra, more than 1.2 lakh students qualified the exam.
