Ajay Devgn’s 2024 supernatural film Shaitaan was declared a superhit at the box office. As per a Pinkvilla report, Shaitaan 2 is officially in the entered the development stage.
ShaitaaN 2 and Maa: The ultimate Crossover
According to an insider, Shaitaan 2 will welcome new actors on board including the original ensemble, Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, Jyothika, and Janki Bodiwala. It is estimated that the the official announcement of Shaitaan 2 will be initiated before Kajol’s new release, Maa.
Reportedly, both the films will face an interlinkage offering an amazing viewing experience for the fans. Through the supernatural cinematic universe crossover, Kajol’s cameo in Shaitaan 2 may be a plan. However, the verification is yet to be made.
Shaitaan’s sequel is now in the writing stage and writer Aamil Keeyan Khan, who penned the first film, is working on the final draft. The film tells the story of a family who faces the vile black magician Vanraj, portrayed by R Madhavan, the sequel may be set amidst the Konkan region of Maharashtra.
Vikas Bahl will be back as the director with the film expected to filmed in 2026. This may be materialised after Ajay Devgn’s Golmaal FIVE with Rohit Shetty. The movie may be released in 2027, as per the filming timelines and post-production.
Ajay Devgn’s upcoming projects
On the professional front, Ajay Devgn will be seen in Son Of Sardaar 2 and De De Pyaar De 2 to be released on July 25, 2025, and November 14, 2025 respectively. The actor will also begin shooting for Drishyam 3 by September/October 2025, for an estimated October 2, 2026, release.
