A terrifying incident unfolded today in Haibatpur village, within the Kotwali area of Bhadohi district, when a high-tension power line snapped and fell directly onto a transformer. The catastrophic event sent a powerful electrical surge throughout the entire village, injuring six individuals and destroying electronic appliances in nearly every home.

The six victims sustained severe burn injuries and were immediately rushed to Aurai Community Health Center (CHC) for treatment. The condition of several injured individuals is reported to be critical. Eyewitnesses described a scene of chaos as the current spread instantaneously, catching residents off guard during their daily routines.

Following the incident, power supply to Haibatpur and surrounding areas was immediately disconnected. Villagers have vehemently accused the electricity department of severe negligence, pointing to the high-tension line's proximity to the transformer near the Hanuman Temple as a major contributing factor to the disaster. The full extent of the property damage is still being

assessed, but preliminary reports indicate widespread destruction of household electronics. An investigation into the cause of the line failure is expected.
