Lightning took its life. 74.5 mm rain in Rewari and 43.8 mm rain in Mahendragarh (Monsoon in Haryana) turned the roads into ponds. The weather department has made it clear that the rain will not stop in 14 districts of Haryana till June 19. There is a yellow alert in Panchkula, Yamunanagar, Ambala, Karnal, Kaithal, Panipat, Sonipat, Rohtak, Jhajjar, Mahendragarh, Rewari, Gurugram, Faridabad and Palwal. Winds can blow at a speed of 40 km per hour in these areas. There is a possibility of up to 50% rain, especially in north-eastern Haryana. In Narnaul of Mahendragarh, rain water (Flood in Haryana) entered the markets and houses, due to which people got troubled.

Power failure, TV and AC burnt

Along with rain, lightning also wreaked havoc. Electronic appliances of many houses like TV, fridge, and inverters got burnt due to lightning in Hisar and Jhajjar. Lightning struck a house in Jhajjar and caused heavy damage. People are scared that their house might be next. What about the arrival of monsoon after 20th June?

Dr. Madan Khichad, an expert from Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, says that monsoon may arrive in Haryana after June 20. Usually, monsoon arrives on June 29, but this time the second round of rain may start 4-5 days earlier. On June 19, there is a possibility of 75-100% rain in Ambala, Panchkula, and Yamunanagar, while there is a possibility of up to 25% rain in Sirsa, Fatehabad, and Hisar.
