Mixing Mango And Milk: Many people's mouth starts watering on hearing the name of Mango Shake, but do you know that drinking milk and mango mixed together is not considered good for health?

Mango Shake Side Effects: As soon as the summer season arrives, mangoes start blooming in the markets and people start enjoying mango products like mango shake. This sweet drink which is very delicious in taste and gives a cooling effect is liked by everyone from children to adults. But do you know that the combination of mango and milk can be harmful for health? Both Ayurveda and modern medical science prohibit mixing milk and mango.

Why should one not drink mango shake?

1. Ayurvedic View

According to Ayurveda, the combination of mango and milk comes under the category of 'Viruddha Aahaar' (Opposing Foods), that is, both have different nature. Mango is considered a fruit of hot nature while milk is of cold nature. Consuming both of these together can create toxins in the body, which can cause digestion related problems, allergies, skin diseases and inflammation in the intestines.

2. Stomach upset and gas

Drinking mango shake in large quantities can cause problems like gas, indigestion, heaviness in the stomach and cramps. Especially for people who have weak digestion, this combination can cause even more harm.

3. Helpful in increasing weight

Mango shake: The sweetness of mango and the calories of milk make it a very high calorie drink. If consumed regularly, it can increase obesity, especially if you are not physically active.

4. Can increase blood sugar

Diabetic patients should stay away from mango shake because it contains a lot of natural sugar. It can increase the blood sugar level rapidly. Therefore, you should avoid it.

What is the healthy option?

If you want to eat mango, then eat it separately from milk. Drink milk at least 1-2 hours after eating mango. If you want, you can make a healthy mango salad by using lemon, black salt and mint with mango.

Keep this in mind that

do not compromise on health for the sake of taste. If you are fond of mango shake, then be cautious and consume it in limited quantity. The real wisdom is to select food after understanding the need and nature of the body.
