Fatal Incident on National Highway-9

A tragic accident occurred on Wednesday morning when a loader vehicle plunged from a flyover on National Highway-9 in Agra, resulting in the deaths of four individuals. According to Assistant Police Commissioner Hemant Kumar, the incident took place around 5 AM in the Trans Yamuna police jurisdiction.

The official reported that the loader, which was transporting mangoes from Firozabad, lost control while ascending the flyover. The vehicle skidded off the edge and fell from a significant height.

Underneath the flyover, three men—Rajesh (65), Rameshwar (60), and Haribabu (63)—were seated after their morning walk when the loader struck them, leading to their immediate deaths. Additionally, the 22-year-old driver, Krishna, also lost his life in the incident.

ACP Kumar indicated that preliminary investigations suggest the driver may have dozed off while operating the vehicle, which led to the accident. He also mentioned that the loader's helper sustained injuries and has been admitted to the hospital. The bodies of all four victims have been sent for post-mortem examination.
