Cricket icon , in a recent move, has been onboarded by social media platform Reddit as their brand ambassador. The legendary cricketer will now be associated with the popular app to share his insights, match analysis and opinions from live cricket action on the platform. Tendulkar will also be seen engaging with his fan base spread across all age groups on the platform and interact with them through various offerings.

Upon onboarding the platform, the Mumbai-born took to his official handle and shared that he is looking forward to conversing with fans of not only Indian cricket but also a few other popular sports in the country. He further shared that joining Reddit gives him an opportunity to connect with his fans in different ways and share a healthy love for sports through keyboard conversations.

"For me, cricket has always been about that pure connection with people, on and off the field. In getting to know Reddit, what stands out is the sheer passion that brings its communities together. I’m especially looking forward to discovering conversations on r/IndiaCricket and r/IndianSports. It’s a unique platform where people truly share what they love. This association gives me an opportunity to connect with fans in new ways and celebrate our shared love for sports," Tendulkar shared on his association with Reddit as quoted by Financial Express.

"Sachin Tendulkar, a name synonymous with cricket excellence, possessed a remarkable ability to transcend boundaries and unite people through his extraordinary talent. His presence on the field fostered a powerful sense of community among fans, who were drawn together by their shared admiration for the ‘Master Blaster’," Durgesh Kaushik, a Reddit official, said.

Speaking of Sachin's cricket career, he is one of the world's finest batters and is revered across all age groups even after almost twelve years of retiring from the profession. The 51-year-old is the highest run-getter in international cricket, and the only batter on the planet to have a whopping hundred centuries under his belt. He also was a part of the Indian team that won the ODI World Cup in 2011.

Sachin continues to remain associated with cricket in different capacities, and has undoubtedly been the biggest face in the team 's history for his contributions, which also earned him the Bharat Ratna from the Government of India, the highest civilian honour in the country.
