Whatsapp: In today's digital age, WhatsApp has become an important part of our daily conversations, whether it is to talk to friends or to stay connected with family. But if you are using WhatsApp Web on a laptop or desktop in an office or any professional environment, then your chats can come in the eyes of someone else, which can cause trouble. WhatsApp has already provided many privacy features in the mobile app such as hiding chats, hiding online status and display picture. But till now there is no such built-in option in WhatsApp Web that can hide your chats from others.

What is the solution?

If you use WhatsApp Web on Google Chrome browser, then without any third-party app, you can protect your chats from others with the help of a simple Chrome extension. This method is especially beneficial for office workers, where people sitting nearby can see your screen.

How to download “Privacy Extension for WhatsApp Web”

First open Chrome browser and search in Google: Privacy Extension for WhatsApp Web

Choose the correct link from the search results, which will take you to the page of that extension.

Click on the “Add to Chrome” button on the right side of the page. Then tap on “Add Extension”.

Now this extension will be installed in your browser.

How to use it?

After installation, click on the Extensions icon in the top right of Chrome.

Select Privacy Extension for WhatsApp Web here.

Now a list will open, in which you can turn on the toggle button to hide different things.

For example, if you don't want your profile photo to be visible, turn that option on. You can also blur information such as messages, name, chats, or QR codes.

Once the settings are saved, the next time you open WhatsApp Web, your private information will be blurred from others' eyes. This way your privacy is maintained without leaving WhatsApp.
