Mannara Chopra 's father, Advocate Raman Rai Handa , passed away in Mumbai on 16 June 2025. The actress, along with her sister Mitali Handa and mother, reached the crematorium for the last rites. In the video, Mannara and Mitali broke down in tears as they paid their last respects to their father. Mitali couldn't stop crying while Mannara held her.
Mannara and Mitali, along with their mother, brought their father's mortal remains to the crematorium. Mannara was extremely devastated and couldn't hold back her emotions as they moved ahead with the last rites.
Earlier, according to a video uploaded by Instant bollywood on Instagram, she appeared extremely sad as she walked out of the terminal, visibly affected by the loss. Mannara earlier shared the devastating news on her Instagram account. In her post, she referred to her father as a "pillar of strength for our family". She further penned the note, "With profound grief and sorrow, we inform the sad demise of our loving father who left us for his heavenly abode on 16/06/2025."


Talking about Mannara's career trajectory with films and TV, her acting career began with her Bollywood debut in the film Zid. Despite the film's poor box office performance, she quickly established herself in the South Indian cinema business. She has appeared in numerous regional films, including Thikka, Rogue, and Sita. She became more well-known after appearing on Salman Khan's reality show Bigg Boss 17 . While she did not win the title, she became well-known and finished as the second runner-up.


She later joined the cast of Laughter Chefs - Unlimited Entertainment Season 2, among well-known celebrities such as Elvish Yadav, Rubina Dilaik, Bharti Singh, Krushna Abhishek, Vicky Jain, Ankita Lokhande, and Abhishek Kumar.
