If you travel frequently on the National Highway, then it has become even easier to avoid the hassle of paying tolls every time. The government has now started the facility of the Annual Toll Pass, in which you can travel up to 200 times on a fixed route for a year, that too without paying toll every time. But how will this pass be made and what will be the benefits of it?

You will be able to apply for this pass in a very easy way in online mode. For this, NHAI (National Highway Authority of India) and MoRTH (Ministry of Road Transport and Highways) have planned to launch a new link on their portals and apps. Understand its complete process here.

What is an Annual Toll Pass?

This means that if you go to the same highway route every day for office or business, then there will be no need to deduct money from FASTag every time. However, this service will be started from August 15.

This pass will be more beneficial for regular travelers, school buses, public transport, and commercial vehicles of companies. The government has taken this decision keeping all these in mind.

Which documents will be required?

For the Annual Toll Pass, you will have to provide some basic details. This will require the vehicle registration number, vehicle owner's name, mobile number, email if any, route information (origin and destination), and vehicle category (private/commercial, etc.).

Where and how to apply?

There will be two digital platforms to apply for the Annual Toll Pass. The Highway Saathi App has to be downloaded.

After this, log in or register. Go to the Annual Toll Pass section. Enter vehicle details and route. Make digital payments. Your pass will be activated virtually.
