During the G7 Summit held in Canada, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a significant meeting with Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni, which was very much discussed on social media. A video went viral in which the two leaders appeared to greet and talk to each other. During this conversation, Meloni praised PM Modi with an open heart and said that you are the best and I am trying to be like you. The meeting also showed the growing relations between India and Italy.
After the meeting, the two leaders also communicated on the social media platform X (East Twitter). PM Modi wrote that the friendship between India and Italy will be stronger, which will give many benefits to the people of both our countries. Prime Minister Modi is currently participating in the G7 Summit 2025 in Canada. On the first day of the conference, he also met Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney. Carney told the media that India’s presence shows its economic strength, technological progress and the role of global leadership on this platform.
This is PM Modi’s sixth consecutive G7 conference and this is his first visit to Canada, which is part of his visit to three countries. Earlier he went to Cyprus, where he was awarded the country’s highest civilian honor ‘Grand Cross of the Order of Makroos III’. His next visit to Croatia after Canada is towards Croatia.
