Emmerdale viewers raised the same question as Victoria (played by Isabel Hodgins) visited Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) in prison. On Tuesday night, viewers were treated to a special episode which focused on a select few characters heading to the prison to see Robert. Fans will remember Robert was released from prison after six years, but was thrown back behind bars after breaking his parole conditions. He put in a visiting order for both Victoria and his ex-husband Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), and both accepted.
But after realising his husband went behind his back to visit his former flame, John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) decided to pay his brother a visit himself. The two exchanged threatening words, with John warning Robert about what he is capable of. Wednesday's instalment of picked up the following day, with John furious after learning that Aaron and Robert kissed on their wedding day.
Realising the damage Robert has caused, Victoria visited him in prison once again and urged him to stay away from the village once he is released.
But fans were baffled about the amount of visitors Robert had received in just a few days and took to social media with their complaints.
"How can Robert have 3 visitors in 2 days? Surely it doesn't work like this #," wrote one viewer as another fumed: "Ffs how many visiting orders does Robert get."
Also picking up on the unrealistic scenes, a third observed: "How are they getting to visit robert every day , real life your lucky to get once a month and definitely not three separate people."
"How many visits is Robert allowed?," asked another baffled fan as someone else declared: "Victoria visiting the easiest prison in Britain to get a VO for."
Although John is hoping his brother will remain behind bars, he is in for a shock later in the week as Robert is released from prison.
Robert wastes no time in heading to John and Aaron's home, declaring that he's come back to spend some time with his family and that they'll be seeing a lot more of him.
