In a significant move aimed at bolstering law enforcement, Bihar's Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has officially presented 618 new vehicles to the Bihar Police. This fleet includes 520 cars and 98 motorcycles, designed to enhance the operational efficiency and mobility of the police force across the state.
The vehicle handover event saw the participation of Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha. During his address, CM Nitish Kumar emphasized the government's commitment to ensuring public safety, highlighting that the police are being equipped with advanced tools and technology to foster a safer environment for the residents of Bihar.
He assured that the introduction of these vehicles would lead to improved police patrolling, quicker response times, and better coverage in remote areas. The Chief Minister urged the authorities to fully utilize the new resources and stressed the importance of maintaining public trust through responsible and effective policing.
Furthermore, he noted that this upgrade would not only enhance emergency response capabilities but also improve crime control measures within the state. With these additional resources, the Bihar Police is expected to operate with increased mobility and a more robust presence, thereby making law enforcement more secure and responsive.
The event commenced positively with the Director General of Police, Vinay Kumar, presenting a green plant to the Chief Minister, symbolizing environmental consciousness and effective governance.
The ceremony was attended by numerous high-ranking officials and political figures, including Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary for Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs, Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena, and Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Deepak Kumar.
