He said his
"I came here legally," he added. "I pay my expensive Home Office and NHS fee and these people just turn up and claim asylum.
"All these illegal immigrants coming here, we don't know where they come from."
The Pakistani native said other members of his community had claimed to have experienced systemic racism in the UK, but it was not something he recognised.
Instead, he testified to "trying to pay back for all the blessings I have received since being in the UK".
It comes after Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer threatened to impose a visa crackdown on citizens of countries refusing to cooperate with Britain's return agreements scheme or adequately tackle the ongoing migrant crisis.
He told reporters at the G7 summit: "It's a serious challenge that requires serious responses to it."
Starmer added that he was considering a "smarter use of our visas" and "whether we should tie our visas to the work that the countries we're dealing with are doing on preventative measures and on return agreements".
Home Office figures show that around 16,545 people have crossed the English Channel in small boats so far this year - marking a 45% increase on the same period in 2024.
