The Moga police have taken a big step towards making Punjab drug -free. As part of this special campaign called ‘Kasko Operation’, on 19 June 2025, the police raided several villages in Nihal Singh Wala sub -division of Moga district. Around 150 policemen were involved in this operation, whose main objective was to search the locations of suspected persons involved in drug trafficking and stop illegal activities.

Strict action against drug smugglers

Giving information about this campaign, DSP Anwar Ali said that we have taken strict action against drug traffickers in many villages of Nihal Singh Wala. No accused will be spared. This operation will continue continuously. He also clarified that the police is ready to take all necessary steps to overthrow the roots of drug smuggling.

During this search operation, the police investigated several suspected locations and tried to raise clues to drug smuggling. This entire campaign is part of the ‘drug -free Punjab’ campaign of the Punjab government, in which the role of the police is considered very important.

Local people appreciated

Local people have also appreciated this action. The villagers believe that such campaigns will bring positive changes in the society and the younger generation will be saved from drugs. The Moga Police is now planning to expand this operation in other parts of the district as well.
