The fixtures for the upcoming English Premier League season were announced on Wednesday.

Chelsea, which finished fourth last season, will face Crystal Palace in its opening fixture on August 17 at the Stamford Bridge stadium. Meanwhile reigning champion Liverpool takes on Bournemouth at home in its first match of the season.

Enzo Maresca’s men, who are currently in the USA for the FIFA Club World Cup, will have their pre-season games close to the start of the season. They will be up against Bayer Leverkusen on August 8 and Serie A club AC Milan on August 10, with both games being played at home.
