Karisma Kapoor returned to Mumbai with her two children Samaira and Kiaan , after attending the funeral of her ex-husband, Sunjay Kapur, in New Delhi.
Videos doing the rounds online saw the actress and her kids arriving at the Mumbai private airport. She was joined by sister Kareena Kapoor Khan and brother-in-law Saif Ali Khan . The family was seen hugging it out in the waiting area, after a long emotional day. Bebo and Lolo were also spotted deep in conversation before they headed into their cars and drove off.
Karisma stood by her children's side as they bid their final farewell to their dad, Sunjay who passed away on June 12. He was 53.
Photos from the funeral captured Kareena standing by Karisma’s side, offering her support during this difficult time. The funeral took place on June 19, after Kapur's mortal remains were brought in from England.
Reports say he may have had a heart attack during a polo match, possibly linked to a rare bee sting incident, though the exact cause of death hasn’t been confirmed yet.
Karisma and Sunjay were married from 2003 to 2016. Even after their separation, they continued to co-parent their two children, Samaira and Kiaan. Both kids signed the official funeral statement released by the Kapoor family , which also mentioned that a prayer meeting would be held on Sunday, June 22, from 4 to 5 PM at the Taj Palace Hotel in New Delhi. The prayer meeting on Sunday is likely to have close family, friends, and people from the business and film world in attendance.
