Salman Khan brought his trademark charm and humour to the red carpet of 'Sitaare Zameen Par', leaving everyone in splits at the Mumbai premiere on Thursday. The superstar turned up to support close friend Aamir Khan but couldn’t resist pulling his leg in front of the cameras.

In what turned into a lively banter, Salman claimed—with mock seriousness—that 'Sitaare Zameen Par' was originally offered to him by Aamir, only for the latter to later claim it for himself.

Salman Khan says Sitaare Zameen Par was offered to him first

“Isne story nahi bataayi na picture ki? Isne mere ko bulaya tha ye subject dekhne ke liye… main chala gaya mujhe bahut achi lagi picture… maine haan bhi keh di… mere ko phone aata hai ki, ‘main kar raha hu picture’,” Salman said, as photographers chuckled around him.

He continued the playful teasing, adding, “Maine itni tareef kari thi picture ki ki Aamir bola, ‘main phaad dunga iss picture mein’... it's outstanding.”

Salman didn’t stop there—he cheekily alluded to Aamir’s personal life and the phase he was in when the film was being discussed. “Isne bhi bola mere ko bhi ye picture bahut achi lagi par uss waqt ye kaam nahi kar raha tha, uss waqt thoda sa load tha… scripting… paperwork pe kaam chal raha tha iska uss waqt,” he quipped, hinting at Aamir’s divorce proceedings with Kiran Rao, making the crowd laugh even more.

He then added, “Toh maine bola bahut achi picture hai mere ko karna hai toh mujhe iska phone aata hai ki… Also, isne mujhe bola tha ki main pehle kar chuka hu.”

Aamir, always a sport, joined the fun, joking back, “Aisa ho sakta ki wo haan bole aur main beech mein aaun?”

The duo’s camaraderie was the highlight of the night, with their friendly roasting becoming the most talked-about moment from the event. Salman kept it classic in an all-black outfit, posing with Aamir and others for the shutterbugs.
