Suriya announced his 45th film with director RJ Balaji finally has a title! The much-talked-about film will now be titled ' Karuppu ', the makers announced while unveiling the title poster on Friday, June 20th at 10 am. Interestingly, the title was unveiled on the special occasion of director RJ Balaji's birthday.
It is believed that Surya will discuss serious political themes such as social justice , hostile situations, and caste oppression . The title ‘Karuppu’ is also a strong indication that it is going to present a serious story that speaks to social change.

This film will see Trisha starring opposite Suriya in a Courtroom Social Drama. Their reunion after 'Aaru' has created a lot of anticipation among the fans. Natty, Yogi Babu, Swasika, and many others are playing important roles.
AR Rahman replaced by Sai Abhyankkar
Initially, there were reports that AR Rahman would be composing the music for the film, but later, young composer Sai Abhyankkar was announced as the music director for the film. The news about the film had not been released for a long time, creating anticipation among fans. As such, there was also excitement on social media about what the title of the film would be. But the makers have ended the streak of no updates by unveiling the title.

Meanwhile, Suriya is also busy working on his 46th film, which is being directed by Telugu director Venky Atluri. But fans are confident that the film 'Karuppu' will be remembered as a significant turning point in his acting journey and as a serious socio-political film .
