Honda City Sport Edition: A New Era for Enthusiasts

For years, car enthusiasts have praised the V-tech technology, with the economical i-Vtech variant being a favorite among Indian drivers. However, the Honda City has recently evolved, losing some of its appeal among enthusiasts. This is set to change as Honda gears up to introduce the all-new Honda City Sport Edition in the Indian market.

Recent images from a popular automotive site have unveiled a new version of the Honda City, currently concealed. The City Sport Edition is anticipated to feature several cosmetic enhancements, including a blacked-out front grille, black ORVMs, and a sporty black lip spoiler. The chrome strip on the front has been replaced with a more aggressive gloss black element, and a 'Sport' badge will adorn the boot lid.

Interior Features of the Honda City Sport

Inside, the City Sport Edition is expected to showcase an all-black interior, complete with black upholstery and dashboard trim, accented by red stitching on the steering wheel. It will likely be powered by the same 1.5-liter petrol engine found in the standard City, producing 119 Bhp and 145 Nm of peak torque. This engine may be paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT.

The Honda City Sport is expected to be priced higher than the current Honda City, which ranges from Rs 13.38 lakh to Rs 15.34 lakh. The sport variant will likely be based on the VX trim level.

Images from the automotive site indicate that the sport variant will primarily feature cosmetic updates while retaining the same powertrain as the standard model. The blacked-out grille and extended black lip, along with similar accents, will define the car's new look. Although the new variant is generating buzz for its aesthetic changes, it has been available in the Middle Eastern market for some time, where Honda offers two sport variants: the Sport and the Sport LX.
