Chennai: A Madurai-bound IndiGo flight returned to Chennai airport as it reportedly developed a technical snag after flying for almost half an hour in the air. According to reports, there were 68 passengers onboard the flight.

Once the snag was detected, the pilot of the flight sought permission to fly back to Chennai. All the passengers are reported to be safe.

The airline has not issued any official statement over the incident.

On Thursday, two IndiGo flights from Kolkata to Northeast were delayed due to techical snags. IndiGo flight 6E 487 from Kolkata to Silchar returned to the ramp. There were 155 passengers onboard the flight.

Meanwhile, another IndiGo flight, 6E 6068, to Agartala from Kolkata, suffered a technical glitch. It had to return from the runway.
