You can reach Puri by reaching Bhubaneswar Airport and covering a distance of 60 km by taxi or bus.

You can also opt for rail travel for a budget trip. Puri railway station is connected to the whole country. The distance between Jagannath temple and Rath Yatra site from Puri railway station is about two and a half to three km.

For traveling by road, regular government and private buses are available from Bhubaneswar and Konark to Puri. The road route via NH-316 is also easy.

Regular trains run from major cities of India to Puri. You can take a train directly to Puri Junction or Bhubaneswar. Traveling by flight is expensive, in which one-way flight ticket can cost around 5000 to 8000 rupees per person, but the train fare will be 700 to 3000 rupees. Traveling by flight will be fast and comfortable and rail travel is economical even if the journey is long. Even if you travel by flight, you need a taxi from the airport, while the train takes you directly to Puri.
